  • 如果您套用這個安全性更新的錯誤版本，電腦將無法受到保護
    如果您手動下載並套用這個安全性更新的錯誤版本，電腦將無法受到保護。例如，試想下列狀況：
    1. 您先前在執行 Windows 2000 或 Windows XP 的電腦上將隨附的 DirectX 元件升級為較新版本的 DirectX。例如，您在 Windows 2000 中將預設版本 DirectX 版本 7 升級為 DirectX 版本 8 或 9。
    2. 您從「Microsoft 下載中心」手動下載 DirectX 版本 7 的更新，然後將它安裝在受影響的電腦上。
    在這個情況下，更新可以安裝成功。但是，無法取代易受到攻擊的二進位碼檔案。因此，電腦仍處於易受攻擊的狀態。

  • Quartz.dll 檔案顯示為未簽署的二進位檔
    請試想下列狀況：
    • 您在執行 Microsoft Windows 2000 (含 Service Pack 4) 且已安裝 DirectX 7 或 DirectX 8 的電腦上安裝這個更新。
    • 您將系統升級為 DirectX 8 或 DirectX 9。
    • 您使用這個更新再次嘗試更新系統。
    在這個情況下，Quartz.dll 檔案已成功更新為安全的版本。但是，檔案可能會顯示為未簽署的二進位檔。

    如果要避免這個問題，請依照下列步驟執行：
    1. 解除安裝舊版 DirectShow 的更新。
    2. 手動刪除下列目錄檔案：

    3. 升級為新版的 DirectShow。

Windows XP 和 Windows Server 2003 檔案資訊

  • 套用至特定里程碑 (RTM、SPn) 和服務分支 (QFE、GDR) 的檔案，會記錄在「SP 要求」和「服務分支」欄位中。
