SYMPTOMSEnterprise administrators cannot both set and enforce the Personal
Information Manager (PIM) settings for
Microsoft Outlook Integration to
be able to turn off Outlook Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator 2007
R2. Therefore, the end-user cannot manually turn Outlook Integration for Office
Communicator 2007 R2 back on. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, apply the following update:
969695
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969695/
)
Description of the Communicator 2007 R2 hotfix rollup package: June 2009
After you install this update, administrators can enforce a setting that stops end-users from resetting or changing Outlook Integration for Office Communicator 2007 R2. To do this, you must deploy the PersonalContactStoreOverride policy. To deploy the PersonalContactStoreOverride policy, use the Local Group Policy Editor.
STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
