SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service crashes during move-mailbox operations in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. When this problem occurs, the following event is logged:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchange Common
Event Category: (1)
Event ID: 4999
Description:
Watson report about to be sent to dw20.exe for process id: <ID>, with parameters: E12N, c-rtl-AMD64, <version number>, store.exe, mdbrest.dll, 4e140, c0000005, edee, <version number>.  ErrorReportingEnabled: False

CAUSE

Certain messages contain an invalid display name or an invalid recipient row. Buffer size is restricted to 32k. These messages exceed the buffer size restriction during the operations. Then, the invalid display name or invalid recipient row causes an Access Violation in the store.exe program.
