You try to configure the Purge settings in Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Monitoring Server. However, if you set the retention days for QoE records to 0, all the data will be deleted in the QoEMetrics database when the next delete operation starts.
If the retention days is set to 0, Communications Server 2007 R2 Monitoring Server assumes that no data has to be kept and will delete everything when next delete operation starts. The expected behavior is to use 0 as an indicator of no data has to be purged from the QoEMetrics database.
To resolve this issue, apply the following update. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971298/ )Description of the update package for Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Monitoring Server: July 2009
Note After you apply this update, no data will be deleted after you set the retention days to 0.
To work around this issue, set the retention days to a number between 1 and 2147483647.
To configure the retention days, change the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) setting MSFT_SIPQoESetting.CallRecordRetentionDays on the computer that is running Communications Server 2007 R2 Monitoring Server, or change the value in the scroll box right to the Maximum days logged check box on the Communications Server 2007 R2 Monitoring Server management page of the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Administrative Tools.
