On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. You have a remote computer that is running Windows Server 2008 and a client computer that is running Windows XP Service Pack 3. You use the Remote Desktop Connection 6.1 client to copy a file from the remote computer to the client computer. After the copy operation is complete, the size of the copied file is different to the size of the original file on the remote computer. Additionally, the copied file may be corrupted. RESOLUTIONYou must apply this hotfix to client computers that are running Windows XP Service Pack 3. Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
