SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Studio, you change the Maximum File Size property on a large database. However, this change takes a long time to finish. CAUSEThis problem occurs because SQL Server Management Studio incorrectly performs a shrink operation before it changes the Maximum File Size property.
