You compose a message in Microsoft Office Communications
Server 2007 R2 Group Chat Client. In the input panel, you select a message,
delete or replace the message content, and then send the message. When you click the
Send button, you find that the content of the sent message does not match the content of the input panel message that you intended to send.
Issue 1
Consider the following scenario:
- You paste the following text into an empty input panel:
a http://www.microsoft.com b
- You select only the "http://www.microsoft" text.
- You delete the selected text by using the
Ctrl+X keys.
- You click the Send button.
In this scenario, the message that you sent does not match the
input panel message that you intended to send.
Issue 2
Consider the following scenario:
- You paste the following text into an empty input panel:
this website is interesting
- You select the word "website."
- You click the Insert a hyperlink button,
enter a valid URL in the Address field, and then click the
OK button.
- You leave the pointer at the end of the line. There is a new
space created at the end of this line. Then, you press the
Backspace key to delete the new space.
- You click the Send button.
In this scenario, the sent message is garbled when you compare it to the
message in the input panel that you intended to send.
Issue 3
Consider the following scenario:
- You paste the following text that includes the typo at the
end into an empty input panel:
- You double-click the word "smile." You find that there is a new
space created after this word.
- You click the Emoticon button to replace
the word with an emotion icon such as a smile icon.
- You type a space between the
smile icon and the word "morez."
- You click the End key to move to the end
of the line.
- You click the Backspace key to delete the
character "z."
- You click the Send button.
In this scenario, the sent message includes the character "z."
The character "e" in "more" is gone. The sent message is
changed to "morz" and there is a new space created after the word "morz."
Issue 4
Consider the following scenario:
- You paste the following three lines of text into an
empty input panel:
- You triple-click on "line b" to select the whole line. You find the new line at the end is selected.
- You type "Line 2" to fix the line. You should now have the
following:
- You click the Send button.
In this scenario, you find that the second and the third line both appear
on one line.
