This article applies to the following product(s):
SYMPTOMSYou log on to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2,
Group Chat Client. When you try to log off Windows XP or for Windows Server 2003, Group Chat Client logs
off as expected. However, the logoff process for Windows XP or for Windows Server 2003 stops. CAUSEThe logoff process in Group Chat Client is asynchronous because it must save any changed preferences to the server before it can
log off. To do this, the client cancels the closing sequence of the main
form. This behavior cancels the Windows logoff process if the closing of the
main form was triggered by the Windows logoff process. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, apply the following update: For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 969818
