INTRODUCTION

This article describes a hotfix that is available for users of the following components:

Windows Service for UNIX.
Utilities and SDK for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA).

This hotfix incorporates daylight saving time (DST) changes and time zone changes in the following country/region or cities:

Kamchatka
Morocco
Paraguay
Pakistan
Perth
Uruguay

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have one of the following products installed:

Windows Services for UNIX 3.0
Windows Services for UNIX 3.5
Utilities and Software Development Kit (SDK) for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2003 R2
Utilities and Software Development Kit (SDK) for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Vista
Utilities and Software Development Kit (SDK) for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2008

Restart requirement

You must restart the computer after you install the hotfix for the following products:

Windows Services for UNIX 3.0
Windows Services for UNIX 3.5
Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) on Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Vista and Windows Sserver 2008

You do not have to restart the computer after you install the hotfix for Utilities and SDK for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) on Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.

File information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
