Note The bam _ ActivityName _CompletedRelationships table is in the BAMPrimaryImport database.

Installation information

  1. Extract the hotfix package. After you extract the hotfix package, you receive a batch of files that include the following:

    For BizTalk Server 2006
    • Setup.exe
    • RFH3380.exe
    • Readme.txt

    For BizTalk Server 2006 R2
    • Setup.exe
    • RFH3351_3352.exe
    • RFH3351_3352-SQL2K5 only.exe
    • Readme.txt
  2. Run Setup.exe to install the hotfix package. This ensures that a nonclustered index is created on the ActivityID column in the bam_ActivityName_CompletedRelationships table when you deploy new activities.
  3. To create indexes for all existing deployed activities, run the utility that is included with this hotfix package as per the following instructions. You can also refer to the Readme.txt file that is contained in this hotfix package for more information.
For BizTalk Server 2006
Usage RFH3380 <serverName><DatabaseName> or RFH3380

Note The default values for RFH3380 are serverName empty and DatabaseName as BAMPrimaryImport.

For BizTalk Server 2006 R2
Usage RFH3351_3352 <serverName><DatabaseName> or RFH3351_3352

Note The default values for RFH3380 are serverName empty and DatabaseName as BAMPrimaryImport.

When you run this utility, please be aware of the following points:
  1. The utility must be run on the Database server for the BizTalk Group.
  2. You must have Read, Write and Execute rights on the BAMPrimaryImport database to run the utility.
  3. This process updates the bam_ActivityName_AllInstances view for all the activities deployed on the BizTalkPrimaryImportDB and creates a nonclustered index on ActivityId on the bam_ActivityName_CompletedRelationships table. Be aware thatthis process might take some time if you have many records.
  4. This utility must be run only one time for a BAMPrimaryImport Database.
  5. If the upgrade of an activity stored procedure fails, the utility will display an exception on the console.
  6. You must run the utility that corresponds to your BizTalk Server version.
  7. You should run the utility RFH3351_3352-SQL2K5 only.exe only when the BAMPrimaryImport database for BizTalk Server 2006 R2 is hosted in SQL Server 2005.
