SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. On a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you run the Add-PublicFolderClientPermission cmdlet or the Remove-PublicFolderClientPermission cmdlet on a set of public folders by using Exchange Management Shell (EMS). In this scenario, the corresponding store sessions are not released. If there are many public folders, the operations that run the cmdlets exhaust the store sessions. Additionally, you cannot connect to the store sessions.

Note You can identify the store sessions that are leaked by checking the MSExchangeIS connection count in Performance Monitor. The leaked store sessions are only released when you exit EMS.
