Consider the following scenario:
Unable to create workitemstore see exceptions for more details.
After you receive the error message, the Team System Web Access interface functions incorrectly. Then, additional user requests are redirected to the logon page, and you receive the same error message. This behavior continues to occur until the worker process for Team System Web Access is recycled. Additionally, the Application log on the application tier computer contains a warning event that resembles the following:

This problem occurs because the TFS client object model cannot release old object instances from memory when the model is heavily used by Team System Web Access. Therefore, the model accumulates memory and then crashes.

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Use multiple Team System Web Access sites to balance the workload.
Restart the TSWAPool application pool in Internet Information Services (IIS) manager frequently.
Clear the Team System Web Access cache folder periodically. By default, the cache folder is located in the following installation folder:
