Error "Method 'get_CanEnableIme' on type" checking items into Team Foundation Server source code control from x64 Windows Vista client

You are using Visual Studio 2008 and Team Explorer 2008, both of which are installed on a x64 Windows Vista workstation. You connect to Team Foundation Server 2008 and attempt to check items into TFS Source Code Control.

The following error is returned:

Method 'get_CanEnableIme' on type
'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Controls.PendingCheckinsChannelControl' from assembly
'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Controsl, Version= 9.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PulicKeyToken=....' is overriding a method that is not visible from that assembly.

This issue may be fixed with an update for both Windows Vista and Visual Studio 2008.  The following updates need to be applied to the affected client workstations.  These can be installed via Microsoft Update, or via the links in the articles below:
