This article
describes the Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 issues that are fixed in the
Project Server 2007 hotfix package that is dated October 27,
2009.
This article describes the following items about the hotfix package:
The issues that the hotfix package fixes.
The prerequisites for installing the hotfix
package.
Whether you must restart the computer after you install
the hotfix package.
Whether the hotfix package is replaced by any other
hotfix packages.
If you add specific fields to the Summary
view on the Resource Assignments page, the view is broken and
cannot be displayed. The following fields cause this problem: Task
ID, Unique ID, Outline Number, and
Duration.
In the Russian version of Microsoft Office Project Web Access, when
you add the Resource
Names field
to a project view, the resource name does not appear
correctly. Instead, some question marks (?) appear.
When you add lines to a timesheet that contains custom
fields, the data in the custom fields is lost.
An Active
Directory sync fails if the enterprise custom fields have default
values.
After you publish a project, you cannot open the
timesheets. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
An
unexpected error has occurred. Web Parts Maintenance Page: If you have
permission, you can use this page to temporarily close Web Parts or remove
personal settings. For more information, contact your site administrator.
Note This hotfix package does not fix projects that
already have this problem. After you install this hotfix package, new projects do not have this problem. For projects that have this problem, open
the project and then fully publish it to resolve the problem.
When you try to save a resource plan, the resource plan
cannot be saved. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
General error: Work value used is invalid. (Use this
error information along with other errors to find out the cause of the
problem.)
This problem occurs when the following conditions are
true:
The resource-level calendar
exceptions are
present.
The Column interval field is set to
Months.
The Calculate resource utilization
from field is set to Resource Plan.
The Work units field is not set to
Full-time equivalent.
When you publish a project, all the jobs related to the
publish process finish successfully. However, the Reporting (Project Publish) job
either takes a long time to finish or it fails.
Consider the following scenario. You apply the Microsoft Office Project
Server 2007 hotfix package that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base
(KB) article 968860. Or, you apply any Project Server 2007 hotfix package that is
released after KB 968860. Then, you submit a change against a milestone task in
Project Web Access. In this scenario, when the project manager locates the Task Updates page
to approve or reject the change, the updates grid does not load. However, you
receive the following message on the Task Updates page:
Loading Grid
Consider the following scenario. The Project Web Access regional setting
is set to a locale where the default date format is
dd/mm/yyyy. You enter an earliest availability date
and a latest availability date on the Edit User page. Then, you save the dates.
In this scenario, when you return to the Edit User page, the day and month sections are reversed. For example,
mm/dd/yyyy.
