To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1 Disable the automatic start of Office Communicator 2007 R2 when Windows starts. Then, 60 seconds after Windows starts, manually start Office Communicator 2007 R2.

Method 2 60 seconds after Windows starts, close and then re-start Office Communicator 2007 R2.

Method 3 Configure the registry entry

Delay_Sec

in the

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Advanced\DelayedApps

registry subkey. To do this, follow these steps:

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regedit, and then press ENTER.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Advanced\DelayedApps
Right-click Delay_Sec, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.

Note The default value in the Value data box is 60.

Note To complete the update to the
Delay_Sec
registry value, you must log on to the computer as the local administrator. Then, change the ownership of the
DelayedApps
registry subkey to the local administrator's account. On the Owner tab of the Advance Security Settings for DelayedApps dialog box, make sure that the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects check box is selected before you apply the changes.
