FIX: A memory leak occurs when you use the Transaction Integrator (TI) Windows-initiated processing (WIP) feature in Host Integration Server 2009 on a computer that is running the 64-bit version of Windows Server 2008Article ID: 976837 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMS Consider the following scenario. You run Microsoft Host Integration Server 2009 on a computer that is running the 64-bit version of Windows Server 2008. You use the Transaction Integrator (TI) Windows-initiated processing (WIP) feature to initiate a connection to a host server. Then, you run a TI assembly. In this scenario, the memory that is used by the worker process that hosts the TI WIP component keeps increasing. In System Monitor, you may also see that the Private Bytes counter of the worker process keeps increasing. CAUSEThis issue occurs because of a memory leak in the Advanced Program-to-Program Communication (APPC) Mapped Conversation objects that are used by the TI WIP feature. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
