Article ID: 976946 - Last Review: January 22, 2010 - Revision: 1.0 The message delivery time is incorrect when you send e-mail messages by using an IMAP4 client together with the APPEND command in Exchange Server 2007
SYMPTOMSIn a Microsoft
Exchange Server 2007
environment, you send an
e-mail message by
using
an IMAP4 client together
with
the APPEND
command. Additionally, you
do not set the \Seen flag in the APPEND command.
In this case, the
delivery time of
the e-mail message is stamped with the current date
and time instead of the date and time that was passed by the
APPEND command. Note The following Knowledge Base article fixes a similar problem if you do set the \Seen flag in the APPEND command. 973253

)
Message delivery times are stamped with the current date and time when Exchange Server 2007 users submit messages by using an IMAP4 client and the APPEND command
CAUSEThis
issue occurs because Exchange Server 2007 sets the PR_IMAP_INTERNAL_DATE property to the date
and time when
you
run the APPEND command.
However,
Exchange Server 2007 should set the parameter
to the date and time that is passed
by the APPEND command. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install the following update
