Windows Mobile cumulative update for daylight saving time (DST) December 2009

Introduction

A December 2009 daylight saving time (DST) update is available for Microsoft Windows Mobile-based devices. This update describes changes the time zone data to accommodate DST changes in several countries.

This update is a cumulative update rollup that includes all the changes that were previously released.

How to install the software update

If you can connect the device to a computer, follow these steps:

1. Connect the Windows Mobile-based device to the computer.
2. Download and then run the WindowsMobile-KB977014.msi file, and then follow the instructions.
   
   Note If you have to install this update on multiple devices, you must repeat these steps for each device.

If you cannot connect the device to a computer, an update file is available. There are many ways to install the update file. For example, you can follow these steps:

1. Download the WindowsMobile-KB977014.cab file for the Windows Mobile-based device to a computer.
2. Attach the update file to an e-mail message, and then send the e-mail message to an account that you can access from the device.
3. On the device, open the e-mail message, and then save the attached file.
4. Locate the file, and then run the file to install the update.

The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time.
