This article
describes the Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 issue that is fixed in the
Project Server 2007 hotfix package that is dated December 15,
2009.
This article describes the following items about the hotfix package:
The issues that the hotfix package fixes.
The prerequisites for installing the hotfix
package.
Whether you must restart the computer after you install
the hotfix package.
Whether the hotfix package is replaced by any other
hotfix packages.
You may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
When you add nonwork
administrative time to a timesheet for a period when actual work is already
reported, the actual work may be
moved
to a different date on the timesheet. Or, the time-phased
values may be
changed
to different values. However, the total actual work value remains the same.
When you change the base calendar for a resource, the
total actual work value for an assignment remains the same. However, the dates
on which the work appears are changed.
When you change the calendar for a resource, the
actual work that is already reported is recontoured.
For example, you have an assignment that starts on Friday. You work for 8
hours on Friday and
for 8
hours on Monday. When you change the calendar for the resource to 24 hours per
day, the actual work value is displayed as 3.17 hours on Friday, 4.73 hours on
Saturday and Sunday, and 3.35 hours on Monday. When this behavior occurs, the
total work value remains the same. However, the timephased values
shift.
Note To resolve these issues, you must apply the hotfix that is
described in the
"More information" section together with the hotfix
that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article:
Description of the Office Project 2007 hotfix package (Project-x-none.msp): December 15, 2009
If there are no resources assigned to a task, assignment
views display the
incorrect number
of work hours in Microsoft Office Project Web
Access.
The same task appears on two adjacent timesheets. Assume
that you
open and save one timesheet. When you move to the other timesheet by clicking
Previous or Next, you receive the following
error message:
An
unexpected error has occurred. Web Parts Maintenance Page: If you have
permission, you can use this page to temporarily close Web Parts or remove
personal settings. For more information, contact your site administrator.
You change the finish date for a task to a date later than
the Finish No Earlier Than constraint date. Therefore, the
duration of the task increases, the work assigned to the resource increases,
and the start date is set to an earlier date.
The current week appears in the first column on the
My Tasks page if the tracking method is set in one of the
following ways:
The hours of work are completed per period.
Resources report the total number of hours per
week.
The week is set to start on Saturday.
When the Active Directory GUID for a resource changes, the name of the resource stays the same. Additionally, the Active Directory sync process may remain at 0 percent. However, sometimes Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 may synchronize correctly.
A queue save job takes a long time to finish. This problem
typically occurs when projects are very large and have many defined custom
fields.
You cannot save a resource plan. Additionally, you receive
the following error message:
General
error: Work value used is invalid. (Use this error information along with other
errors to find out the cause of the problem.)
This
problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
Resource-level calendar exceptions are
present.
The Column interval field is set to
Months.
The Calculate resource utilization
from field is set to Resource Plan.
The Work units field is not set to
Full-time equivalent.
On the Edit Project Web Access Site page,
you cannot change the administrator account. Therefore, if an account no longer
exists, you cannot change properties, such as the reporting database server.
A
