SYMPTOMSWhen a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 user sends a recurring meeting request or a recurring appointment to an external recipient, the recipient may find that the last occurrence of the meeting request or the appointment is missed. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
CAUSEThis problem occurs because Exchange Server 2007 has to convert the meeting request or the appointment to an iCalendar message for external recipients. Exchange Server 2007 uses the DateTime.Date property to set the end time. In this case, Exchange Server 2007 sets the End by day time as the begining of a day instead of the end of a day. When the End by day is set to the same day as the date of the last occurrence, the date of the last occurrence is out of the correct range. Therefore, the external recipient misses the last occurrence. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install the following update rollup: 979784
