SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 crawls a form based authenticated Web site, the form based authenticated Web site sends back an "HTTP 302" error message during the authentication session. This "HTTP 302" error message contains a long redirection location. In this case, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 cannot access the redirection location. Therefore, the process for crawling a form based authenticated Web site fails completely.
