SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

You are running one of the following operating systems:
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- The release version of Windows Vista
- Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)
- Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2)
- Windows 7
You use the Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects Library (Msado15.dll) to access the ConnectionString property of the ADODB.Connection object.

In this scenario, a memory leak may occur.

Note This issue does not occur in Windows XP or in Windows Server 2003.

RESOLUTION
