SYMPTOMS

When an administrator of a conference center disables the Question and Answer Control Panel modality or the Chat modality, both modalities are unavailable in the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 add-in.

To fix this problem, apply the following update:

A new license setting is introduced in Live Meeting Service that enables the administrator of a conference center to control the usage of certain modalities. These modalities are available in the rapid page in both Roles and Policies and in Memberships. If the administrator restricts any or both of the modalities they become disabled and dimmed in the Live Meeting 2007 add-in.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
