SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft Office Live Meeting service, a conference center administrator cannot restrict application sharing to only a single program.

RESOLUTION

To restrict application sharing to a single program, a conference center administrator must enable the Disable Desktop Sharing setting on the Edit Meeting Policies page in Live Meeting Manager. Additionally, meeting participants must apply the following update:
976128 Description of the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client update package: January 2010


After the conference center administrator enables the Disable Desktop Sharing option, presenters can only share a single program in the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client. Additionally, organizers cannot grant the ability to share the control for desktop sharing.
