Symptoms

On a computer that is running a Dutch version of Windows 7, you start the TV Signal Setup Wizard in Windows Media Center. Then, you select Antenna as the TV signal type. In this situation, Windows Media Center crashes and you receive the following error message:

Media Center has stopped working.

If you click Show problem details in this error message, you see detailed information that resembles the following. This information indicates that the Ehshell.exe process has crashed.

  • The problem signatures in this message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer. However, problem signature 01 is always "ehshell.exe."

  • This issue does not occur if you select Cable as the TV signal type.
