SYMPTOMSOne of the improved features that are available in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is the ability to perform a remote device wipe of a mobile device. Remote device wipe is a feature that enables Exchange Server 2007 to set a mobile device to delete all data the next time that the device connects to the Exchange Server 2007 server. This feature is useful if a mobile device is lost or stolen. When a remote device wipe operation is performed, a confirmation message is delivered to the user’s mailbox. The remote device wipe confirmation message is localized based on the mailbox language. However, for certain languages such as German, Spanish and Portuguese, the subject of the confirmation message is garbled. For example, the German subject, "Remote Wipe Confirmation" should be localized to "Bestätigung der Remotege rätzurücksetzung". However, the subject is localized incorrectly to "Bestätigung der Remotegerätzurücksetzung". CAUSEThis problem occurs because the confirmation message is encoded to HTML format two times. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install the following update rollup: 979784
