Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, you use one of the following methods to create an offline certificate request on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008:
This problem occurs because the option to include the header and the footer are mistakenly omitted from the Windows Server 2008 code path.
To resolve this issue, apply the following updates:

977344After you apply the updates, the header and the footer are added when you create an offline certificate request.

Note The updates apply only to the installed LcsCmd.exe command-line tool or to the installed Communications Certificate Wizard. If you run the LcsCmd.exe command-line tool or the Certificate Wizard from the installation media, the issue that is described in the "Symptoms" section still occurs.
To work around this issue, manually insert the header and the footer into the body-only certificate request.
