INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you open a document that was created by using Microsoft Office Word 2003 or an earlier version of Word in Microsoft Office Word 2007, the position of a table in the footer is changed.

  • You have a Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 e-mail message whose default signature is in HTML format on a computer that does not have Office Word 2007 installed. When you paste either some text or a picture in the body of the e-mail message, you receive the following error message:
Outlook encountered a problem. You will not be able to undo this action once it is completed. Do you want to continue?
If you click Yes, the text or picture is pasted into the body of the e-mail message. When you try to send the e-mail message, you receive the following error message:
    Cannot send this item
  • When you insert an Excel workbook that is in a shared folder into an Office Word 2007 file as an object, a read-only prompt appears. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
    • The path of the file and the file name are manually typed.
    • The Link to file check box is selected.
  • You have two Office Word 2007 documents. One of the documents contains an equation. When you use the Compare command in Office Word 2007 to compare the documents, you receive the following error message:
You cannot put inline shapes into an equation.
If you click OK, you receive the following error message:
Word was unable to compare the documents.
  • When you send mail merged documents to recipients in the Japanese version of Office Word 2007, only some documents are sent.

  • You cannot print a .docx file that is converted from a .doc file to any PostScript printer. This problem occurs when the .doc file contains an .eps file that is generated by using the FAME Populator add-in.

  • You enter text that begins with "1" and is followed by one of the following characters:

When you press the SPACEBAR, the text is changed.

  • You create a document variable that has certain special characters in an Office Word 2007 document. Then, you save the document. The special characters include line breaks, nonbreaking hyphens, and optional hyphens. When you close and then reopen the document, the characters are gone.

  • You open an Office Word 2007 document by using Windows Internet Explorer. When you click Enable Macros, you receive the following error message:
Can't exit design mode because Control 'Name' can not be created.
