Cause



A corrupted installation of Silverlight.

 

Resolution



Step 1:  Download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility





Step 2:
(a)  Save the Silverlight runtime installer to your machine (in this example, we'll use the Desktop)
(b)  Open a Command Prompt window by going to Start > Run and then type cmd
(c)  Manually extract the Silverlight file to a temporary location using the following command:



       c:\documets and settings\user\desktop\silverlight –x



(d)  When prompted for a temporary location, type c:\silverlight
(e)  Now, in the Silverlight directory you created in step (d), double-click on the silverlight.msi file and, after it finishes installing, double-click on the silverlight.msp file
(d)  Now try to play the Netflix videos again
