SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Line-of-Business (LOB) Adapter SDK Service Pack 2 (SP2) on a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009.
  • You create a BizTalk Server project in Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • You use the Consume Adapter Service Wizard to create schema files according to the binding settings for the adapter.
In this scenario, a ".csproj" suffix is added unexpectedly to the Project File property. Therefore, the project name is changed from "xxx.btproj" to "xxx.btproj.csproj" unexpectedly. When this issue occurs, you cannot save the new schema files to the project.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an error in the Consume Adapter Service add-in that is included in the WCF LOB Adapter SDK SP2.
