SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • You turn on the "Restore previous folder windows at logon" feature.
  • You open several Windows Explorer windows and position them around the screen.
  • You log off and then you log on to the computer.
In this scenario, the Windows Explorer windows are open. However, the position of the windows is not restored correctly.

For example, the Windows Explorer windows cascade from the position of the last window that was closed.
