The read receipt is not returned to a delegate in Office Outlook 2003

In Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, when a delegate sends an e-mail message that requires a read receipt on behalf of other users, the read receipt is returned only to the other users. The read receipt is not returned to the delegate.

1. Apply hotfix package 980998.

2. Enable the hotfix package. To do this, follow these steps:
   1. In Windows Vista, Click Start

      If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.
      
      In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
   2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Mail
   3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
   4. Type ReadReceiptsToDelegate, and then press ENTER.
   5. Right-click ReadReceiptsToDelegate, and then click Modify.
   6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
   7. Exit Registry Editor.
