SUMMARY

This article describes the 2007 Microsoft Office system issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated February 23, 2010.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • You create a document list and a document approval workflow on a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 site. When you upload a document to the document list and then you start the document approval workflow, an approver receives a notification e-mail message in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. When the approver clicks the Edit this Task button in the e-mail message, the approver receives the following error message:
An error occurred while retrieving the workflow task details. This could be caused by not having connectivity to the server or because the task no longer exists.
  • When you try to open a 2007 Office system application on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, the application crashes. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
    • The Desktop Experience feature is not installed on the computer.
    • You install an update that updates the Mso.dll file to a version that is later than 12.0000.6504.5000.
  • When the StartFromScratch property is set to TRUE, you cannot use the Ribbon Extensibility add-in to hide or show built-in Ribbon tabs dynamically. This problem occurs because the GetVisible callback in the add-in does not work.

  • The IncludePicture field is not updated as expected in Microsoft Office Word 2007.
