SYMPTOMS

You use Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) 1.2.1 to develop applications. You use these applications to access the content of message stores. However, when you use an application that uses a version before 6.5.8160.0 of Exchange Server MAPI Client and CDO 1.2.1 to access the Exchange Server 2010 message stores, a crash may occur with access violation exceptions.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and install the following package from Microsoft Download Center:
