Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 fix release. INTRODUCTIONStarting from Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1, you can configure Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting service to integrate the SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Technologies 2010 in a SharePoint 2010 environment. MORE INFORMATIONStarting from Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1, you can configure Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting service to integrate the SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Technologies 2010 in a SharePoint 2010 environment. This cumulative update or later versions provide support on the SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services server to receive HTTP redirector requests from the SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Technologies 2010. Note This fix only supports storing Reporting Services content in a Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Windows Classic Web application. This fix does not support storing Reporting Services content in a Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Claims-based Web application. The fix for this issue was first released in Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1.
