System TipThis article applies to a different operating system than the one you are using. Article content that may not be relevant to you is disabled.
You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Vista.
You install a Microsoft Universal Print Driver (Unidrv.dll)-based printer driver on the computer.
You configure the printer driver to use the HP-GL/2 graphics mode.
The Unidrv.dll file is updated to version 22116 or a larger version by an update.
For example, assume that you install the Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. When you install the Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5, the Unidrv.dll file is updated.
In this scenario, the grayscale for a printout is darker. Therefore, some text in the gray area of a printout cannot be read any longer.
