A RemoteApp program does not show the saved user name when you start the program on a computer that is running Windows VistaArticle ID: 981211 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. You deploy a RemoteApp application to a client computer that is running Windows Vista. You configure the RemoteApp program to automatically display a saved user name when you start the program. However, the saved user name does not appear in the logon dialog box. Therefore, you have to input both the user name and the password manually to start the RemoteApp program. Note You can save a user name in the RemoteApp program by editing the RDP file. To do this, use a text editor and specify username:s: <user>. CAUSEThis issue occurs because the Remote Desktop Connection program (Mstsc.exe) ignores the saved user name of the RDP file in a RemoteApp scenario.
