The contact-id parameter does not work when you add custom commands to Office Communicator 2007 R2 menus

SYMPTOMS

You add custom commands to Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 menus by changing registry values. However, Office Communicator 2007 R2 cannot pass the contact-id parameter to the applications that you specify.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the contact-id parameter is not implemented in Office Communicator 2007 R2.

RESOLUTION

To fix this problem, apply the following update:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
