SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You start the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Site Repair Wizard on a site server that is running Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
  • In the wizard, you select the parent site code on the Parent Site Settings page, and then you follow the instructions to finish the repair process.
In this scenario, all Japanese characters for the repaired site are displayed as question marks (??????) in the Configuration Manager console. For example, the Japanese characters in the site names, in the status filter rule names, and in the description fields of each site boundary are displayed incorrectly as question mark characters.
