FIX: SSMS Object Explorer does not display the correct version number for SSIS or for SSRS

SYMPTOMS

You use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to connect to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Integration Services (SSIS). You may find Object Explorer displays an incorrect version number for SSRS or for SSIS.

For example, you apply SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1 (SP1) for both SSRS 2008 and SSIS 2008. SSRS 2008 and SSIS 2008 are updated to version 10.0.2531. However, Object Explorer still displays "10.0.1600" as the version number.

Note This issue occurs in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.
