SYMPTOMS

You have a Virtual Disk Service (VDS) hardware provider on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7. When you run the following Diskraid command to unmask a single LUN to several hosts, you receive a syntax error message:

Unmask Lun add wwn= {World Wide Names (WWN) of host ports.}

CAUSE

This issue occurs if you have a "VDS_HWT_HYBRID" type of VDS hardware provider. In this situation, the Diskraid command incorrectly determines the VDS hardware provider to be invalid when the Diskraid command parses the Diskraid command string. Therefore, you receive a syntax error message.
