When you try to browse some webpages, Internet Explorer 8 may crash intermittently. When this issue occurs, the following event is logged in the Application log. This error indicates that the crash occurs in the Mshtml.dll module. Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Description: Faulting application iexplore.exe, version <version number>, faulting module mshtml.dll, version <version number>, fault address <address>. RESOLUTIONSecurity update informationTo resolve this problem, install the most recent cumulative security update for Windows Internet Explorer.
