On This PageSYMPTOMSYou use Windows Internet Explorer 8 to visit a webpage that contains frames in a frameset. If the content in a frame is reloaded repeatedly, a memory leak occurs. To monitor memory performance, use Performance Monitor (Perfmon.exe). In Performance Monitor, check the Private Bytes and Working Set counters for the affected Internet Explorer process. When you experience this issue, you notice that the values of these two counters keep increasing. RESOLUTIONSecurity update informationTo resolve this problem, install the most current cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.
