INTRODUCTION

An update is available that provides fixes to issues that extend the functionalities in version 1.0 of the ADO.NET Data Services framework. This update is designed for the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

An update is available that provides additional features and improvements for ADO.NET Data Services in the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
This update fixes the following issues:
  • Single quotation mark (') characters that are contained in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) server responses are escaped incorrectly.
  • Requests that contain filter expressions on a string, byte, or GUID fail when the server is run in medium trust.
  • Intermittent MethodAccessException exceptions may occur during request processing on a 64-bit server that is run in medium trust.
  • MethodAccessException exceptions may occur on a medium trust server that uses Feed Customization (Friendly Feed) mappings.
  • Duplicate object instances occur in the client library when the entity key contains an escape character.
