SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You are running Lotus Notes applications in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment..
  • You open a plain text message that contains Notes URL links by using Outlook Web Access (OWA).
  • These Notes URL links link to Lotus Notes documents.

In this scenario, the Notes URL links are not clickable. However, they are clickable if you open the message by using Microsoft Office Outlook.

Note The Notes URL links start from "notes://". For example, notes://contoso.com/docid.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Exchange Server 2007 does not treat the Notes URL links as hyperlinks in the scenario that is described in the “Symptoms” section.
