SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You edit an Excel workbook on a SharePoint site that is running Excel Services in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010.
  • The PivotTable in the workbook contains a named set that is above a hierarchy.
In this scenario, you cannot filter or sort the data in the PivotTable.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, move the row labels sothat the named set is under the hierarchy.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
