FIX: "Failed to load tests from 'path of test dll''' error message when you use the Upgrade Template to build a Visual Studio 2008 solution together with a test project in Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010

Consider the following scenario:

• You upgrade Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Foundation Server to Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010.
• You use the Upgrade Template to build a Visual Studio 2008 solution together with a test project in the Team Foundation Build 2010.

In this scenario, no tests are implemented unexpectedly. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

This problem occurs because Team Foundation Build 2010 calls the Mstest.exe command from Visual Studio 2010 instead of calling the command from Visual Studio 2008.

Prerequisites

You must have Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply the hotfix if no instance of Visual Studio is being used.
