Some characters are rotated incorrectly in the print output when you use Microsoft XPS Document Writer to print a document in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008
You have a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008.
On the computer, you have a document that contains Single Byte Character Set (SBCS) characters. For example, the document contains Japanese Kana characters.
You rotate some characters in the document. For example, you rotate some characters to a vertical orientation.
You use the local Microsoft XPS Document Writer (MXDW) to print the document.
In this scenario, some characters are rotated incorrectly in the print output.
Note This issue also occurs when you establish a terminal server session to a terminal server that has the Terminal Services Easy Print feature enabled. In this situation, the issue occurs when you use a redirected MXDW in the terminal server session to print the document.

Service Pack 1 is integrated into the release version of Windows Server 2008. Therefore, RTM milestone files apply only to Windows Vista. RTM milestone files have a 6.0.0000.xxxxxx version number.
The MANIFEST files (.manifest) and the MUM files (.mum) that are installed for each environment are listed separately in the "Additional file information for Windows Server 2008 and for Windows Vista" section. MUM files and MANIFEST files, and the associated security catalog (.cat) files, are extremely important to maintaining the state of the updated component. The security catalog files, for which the attributes are not listed, are signed with a Microsoft digital signature.
