You may experience one or more of the following Intellitrace issues in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010:
Issue 1Consider the following scenario. You create a cloud service. You enable the Intellitrace feature. Then, you deploy the service to Microsoft Azure fabric and then a service package file is generated. In this scenario, the Intellitrace binary files are included two times for each role of the cloud service in the package file unexpectedly.
Issue 2The Intellitrace feature is disabled on 32-bit operating systems. Therefore, you cannot collect trace information from 64-bit versions of Microsoft Azure instances.
This issue occurs because the 64-bit version of the Intellitrace component (Tracelogprofiler.dll) is not installed on 32-bit operating systems.
Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Restart requirementYou do not have to restart the computer after you apply the hotfix if no instance of Visual Studio is being used.
