SYMPTOMS

When you open an HTML page in Microsoft Internet Explorer on a Windows Vista-based computer, the browser window may lose focus when you press ENTER.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Internet Explorer thinks that the <input type="image"> tag in a HTML page is the default element for the page.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use the <IMG> tag instead of using the <input type="image"> tag in a HTML page.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
